How much water do we have?
If you look at Earth from space, you would never think, "Gee, there's not enough water for humans to use?"
If we think of the water in the world as liters, 97 out of 100 liters are salt water. The other 3 liters are freshwater. And of those 3 liters, 69% is ice and glaciers and 30% is ground water and 1% is rivers and lakes.
Out of all the world's water, only 1 drop is potable for humans to use.
Water Cycle
The Earth is never going to get more water. Water does not stay in one place or in one state. It's constantly moving. This is called the WATER CYCLE. Water may start as a cloud over the ocean. As the cloud collects more and more water, it gets full. Then, as the full cloud moves over land it rains over the land.
Think of the water cycle boogie
Evaporation
Condensation
Precipitation
Run off
And transpiration (that's tree sweat)
